Iceland in Pictures

You should check out Julia Bradbury’s Iceland Walk. It is a 60 minute TV show in which she treks the Laugavegur hiking route in Iceland along with a guide from Icelandic Mountain Guides. The program aired recently on BBC4 and was seen by nearly a million viewers, double the channels usual audience. Since it has already aired, I’m not sure how you can see it but the trailer at least is here.

This is one of countless very very different views you can experience on the Laugavegur hiking trail. I took this pic of Stórasúla peak when hiking there last summer (see it huge here). I’ve written before what the Laugavegur is if you don’t know. I also saw an interesting post from Icelandic Mountain Guides recently about when they took the BBC for a tour.
