Took this photo while driving a section of Ring Road this past April. I only had the car for a day, but it was one of the best days of my life. Came across this abandoned little barn near a cave full of seagulls near Dyrhólaey.

My good friend is now in Iceland (‘Jäämaa’) and he is doing amazing pictures.

I think now i’ll post all the others :D
icelandpictures: Thank you for the submission. Did you mean to have a photo with that submission? In any case, there are countless here.

I spent my day walking around on top of the Vatnajökull glacier today, so thanks look look for this submission.

Thanks Falxcerebri for the submission.
Hraunfossar is a very unusual sort of waterfall. Since the lava in this valley isn’t very old, it is porous. This means the water flows easily through the spongelike lava instead of over it. Above the waterfall you will find no river at all. Underneath the lava layer there is an older and much harder layer which the water flows on top of. These pictures illustrate it very well. There’s another closeup of the waterfall here.

Thank’s for the pic Daniel! Ou talvez melhor dizer obrigado!
Skógafoss really is nicely framed in this pic, making it look like it is in a tropical forest. The actual meaning of Skógafoss is “forest waterfall”, so it is fitting. However there is very little forest around Skógafoss.
