I’ve got some fermented Icelandic shark in my fridge and strong Brennivín in the freezer. It’s a great combo, just make sure you don’t eat and drink too much of it or you might end up burping shark and Brennivín for a few days.
Two basking shark seems to like the attention when filmed on the south coast of Iceland.
Rough seas in Iceland. This video is of an Icelandic fishing trawler on it’s way into port in Vestmannaeyjar (The Westman Islands) on the south coast of Iceland. The port is renowned for some pretty rough waves.
Iceland is abundant in water and in many cases wild fish. Some of the worlds best salmon fishing rivers are in Iceland, but being the worlds best the owners tend to charge superstar prices.
However many mountain lakes all around Iceland either have no owner or cost little to fish in. So bring your fly fishing rod when you go to Iceland.
