Although the Icelandic Ice Hockey Championship is small, the teams battle fiercely. There are only three hockey teams in Iceland, Skautafélag Reykjavíkur (The Reykjavik Skating Association), Björninn (The Bear - Reykjavik) and Skautafélag Akureyrar (The Akureyri Skating Association).
Perhaps the high point in the history of Icelandic hockey was their role as the bad guys in the Mighty Ducks.
