Anonymous asked: What's the general view on American's in Iceland?
Iceland has for a long time been a stepping stone between North America and Europe. For this reason we are a bit split between the two in the ways we identify ourselves. In some ways we identify ourselves more with North America than our fellow Europeans.
You’ll find that most Icelanders you meet or at least a very large part of them will have visited the US on more than one occasion.
Still, we might thoughtlessly stereotype them as politically correct extroverts with limited understanding of the world outside the US.
